Dr. Malhotra

Dr. Varun Malhotra joined Nephrology Associates of Tidewater in 2018. Prior to this, he practiced in Pennsylvania following a Nephrology Fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology and holds initial certification from American Society of Hypertension as a Specialist in Clinical Hypertension. 

Dr. Malhotra plays a pivotal role in teaching at Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) at Old Dominion University and serves as the Program Director of the Nephrology Fellowship Program and Division Chief of Nephrology and Hypertension.

He sees patients at our Fort Norfolk office and cares for patients at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. 

Outside of work, he enjoys traveling with his family, playing tennis, table tennis, and soccer.
